Namsaah Bottling Trust is an Asian gastro bar located on Silom Soi 7 (Soi Sirijullassayvok). The collective brainchild of Chef Ian Kittichai, music impresario Frederic Meyer, diplomat Jeremy Opritesco, and nightlife guru Justin Dunne, Namsaah is the culmination of their respective talents to create this bespoke bar and restaurant experience in the heart of Bangkok. Housed in an early 20th-century grand villa, the focus is on classic and whimsical cocktails as well as Asian bar food and larger sharing dishes.

The name of the venue pays homage to its colorful history. The house has played numerous roles a residence of a royal aide-de-camp, a soda company’s bottling office, and the headquarters of a bank. The Thai word “namsaah” is an old-fashioned word referring to sparkling water or soda water.

The ground floor of the venue features a large bar as the heart of the house. With a selection of 30 plus cocktails, the beverage menu highlights include classic cocktails as well as specialty cocktails with include Asian flavor twists. Classic cocktails such as negroni’s, long island ice teas, and whiskey sours are shaken with additional flairs and touches, for example, the Whiskey Sour uses Sangsom ‘whisky ‘whipped up with salted caramel, while the Negroni takes on a lighter punch with fresh tangerine juice and roasted mandarin oranges.
From the specialty menu, guests will see unique flavor combinations but still focused on familiar Asian flavor notes. The Kaffir Lime Watermelon Smash, for example, uses these ingredients muddled together with premium bourbon.

The food menu features a variety of playful bar bites with regional influences, such as spicy soda-battered shrimp in a Sriracha-aioli glaze, Thai-style sundried pork and beef, and chili-fried potato skins. With a front outdoor garden terrace, the ground floor invites casual lounging and imbibing.

The first floor features a more formal dining area where a full service a la carte menu of playful regional favorite dishes is featured. Dishes such as duck comfit noodle salad, red curry beef, sweet & sour pork, and a special house creation – a krapow burger, tempt diner’s palates and complement the full range of cocktails, and wines on offer throughout the venue.

The colourful jewel box decor of the house adds to the buzzy atmosphere of the Namsaah experience. All of the fabrics and furnishings have been selected from the region and reflect the theme of Namsaah. The music selections are created to match the feel and tempo of the venue and live DJs are featured periodically.
